BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The Specialist, Segment Marketing contributes to and supports driving customer lifetime value for an assigned segment by improving customer engagement and retention. They assist in the development and execution of strategic plans for the segment. Responsibilities also include strategic project coordination and execution with cross-functional partners.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Segment Insight & Plan Development:

  • Supports the segment team in gathering, organizing, evaluating and reporting customer insights to support the segment’s plan

  • Assists in identifying and analyzing market and competitive trends, industry drivers (including key verticals) that impact assigned segment(s).

  • Participates in cross-functional planning meetings in support of segment’s go-to-market plan and contributes to the plan’s development

  • Supports the execution of segment marketing and communication plans cross-functionally with Marketing Centers of Excellence; this includes the development of business briefs and plans, segment marketing & communication calendars, goals and evaluations/reporting.

  • Supports the execution of segment targeted sales enablement tools and collateral with Marketing Centers of Excellence and Sales Effectiveness teams; this includes all forms of segment specific content such as sell sheets, sales flyers, white papers, website, social media, case studies, presentations, ROI calculators, trade journal articles.

  • Assists in the development of unique value propositions that align to segment customer needs.

  • Supports the development of an integrated cross-functional approach that is focused on improving the segment(s) end to end customer experience with MSC.

  • Contributes to the development of sound working relationships with Sales and Product partners to ensure ongoing strategic alignment.

Communication:

  • Plays a supporting role in providing awareness and education across MSC on assigned segment insights and plans.

  • Manages, protects and builds the MSC brand by ensuring consistency in communications and adherence to brand standards including voice, identity and tone.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Drives the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSCs mission.

  • Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or the equivalent experience is required.

  • Integrated marketing experience with digital marketing or sales enablement experience preferred.

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams to execute go-to market sales and marketing plans that impact sales growth preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical skills are required.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written are required.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills required.

  • Results driven, highly motivated individual who can coordinate cross-functionally to desired results required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 10% of the time are required.
