BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Talent Acquisition Partner (TAP), you will drive the full-cycle recruitment process for positions up to management level in support of MSC’s talent needs and in alignment with company business initiatives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Consults with Hiring Managers (HM) to develop and implement innovative and proactive recruitment strategies for their talent needs; aligns on job requirements, hiring profile and salary.

  • Partners with HMs to prioritize position requirements based on business needs and talent market.

  • Builds and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders through regular communication/meetings during the search process.

  • Evaluates industry & talent market trends for strategic & niche positions; makes recommendations to leadership.

  • Embeds in assigned departments to gain a thorough understanding of business (side-by-sides; ride-a-longs; attending staff meetings, etc.)

  • Acts as a brand ambassador by creating compelling job ads to attract prospective candidates and enhance the company value proposition

  • Builds a proactive pipeline of candidates by fully leveraging various sourcing methods including social media.

  • Researches new & alternative sourcing methods (internet, community organizations, print media, formal/informal networks, colleges, trade associations) to directly and indirectly source qualified candidates.

  • Sources, evaluates and selects internal and external candidates for interview and referral to the HM for consideration.

  • Participates in and attends recruitment events such as open houses & job fairs.

  • Provides information to candidates regarding MSC job requirements, culture and benefits.

  • Arranges candidate pre-employment assessments when appropriate.

  • Schedules candidates for advanced interviews.

  • Manages candidate activity using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) by maintaining accurate and timely records.

  • Responsible for the quality of the candidate experience including prompt communication of next steps and final outcome of their candidacy.

  • Assesses interview feedback to determine next steps and guide HMs through the hiring process.

  • Obtains authorization and submits & oversees pre-employment background checks according to company guidelines.

  • Prepares and negotiates offers including review of salary equity, discussion with HM & creation of offer letter.

  • Maintain consistent hiring practices, ensuring compliance with policies and employment law.

  • Engages, negotiates and manages vendor relationships.

  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of vision and fulfillment of MSC’s Mission.

  • Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or the equivalent experience is preferred.

  • Minimum of two years recruitment experience is required.

  • A combination of corporate and employment agency recruiting experience is preferred.

  • Experience using social media as a recruitment/sourcing tool is required.

SKILLS:

  • Ensures service level agreements are being met and hiring metrics are being achieved in alignment with TA team goals.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to influence and maintain a positive, professional demeanor to effectively deal with a wide variety of customers (internal and external).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and recruitment related systems (ATS) is required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.

  • Proven ability to take initiative and ownership with focus on continuous improvement

  • Demonstrated business acumen and solid understanding of general business operations.

  • Ability to prioritize work & meet deadlines is essential

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, discretion, diplomacy and tact.

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
