DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answers inbound calls to sell MSC products in accordance with MSC Culture and Customer Service standards.
Resolves customer product and service issues by providing sales-related solutions utilizing the most common sources of information. Consults with other associates to locate alternative sources of information.
Provides customer service, in accordance with MSC standards, to ensure customer satisfaction, account retention, and revenue generation.
Communicates customer concerns to management to ensure the most effective and lasting problem resolution.
Resolves basic credit and collections issues to enhance customer service.
Provides customer service using all tools available including, but not limited to, email and the Internet.
Identify and upsell MSC products where applicable to satisfy customer needs.
Recommend team sales process improvements to drive profitability for each customer order.
Utilize WEBSOE and Salesforce.com software to increase sales and fuel customer satisfaction.
Learns and fosters the MSC Culture in the branch and throughout the company to ensure unity of vision and fulfillment of MSC’s Mission.
Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
A High School Diploma or the equivalent required.
0-2 years inbound/outbound telephone sales or outside sales or customer service experience required. Industry experience preferred.
Knowledge of basic arithmetic is required.
Computer literacy and proficiency with email, various internet browsers and/or the Windows operating system required.
Good oral and written communications skills and the ability to work a varying schedule is also required.
A valid driver’s license is required.
The ability to lift up to 50lbs may be required based on branch location (not all branches)
