BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the IM Project Specialist-Level I is an entry level project specialist able to perform duties that manage customers through the solutions on-boarding process to successful implementation. Duties include customer conversations below the C-Suite level to outline project scope and deliverables, equipment configuration, software set up and installation scheduling. Level I position is expected to manage low complex projects from project recommendation through install. In addition, this position will be responsible for delivering the project on-time to meet customers’ expectations and leverages other solution support teams as needed to ensure success.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Proficient and capable of performing solutions operations processes including but not limited to, customer engagement, solution discovery and recommendation, software configuration, project management, customer data collection, and scheduling.
Conducts a progression of customer conference calls / web meetings to review customer requirements, project scope, timeline, and actions steps need for a successful installation of MSC’s vending solution.
Makes decisions on adjusting and changing implementation direction based on business variables and outside factors.
Provides recommendations of the vending equipment for capital asset deployment.
Responsible for the successful completion of all related databases configuration including the item plan, user defined information, hardware configuration and reporting.
Develops installation project scope document to successful transition project to equipment installer.
Must be able to perform all tasks required to launch a new program including, contract review, equipment ordering, and schedule installation.
Ensures project tasks are completed on time and maintains ongoing communication among all project stakeholders.
Works cooperatively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives.
Organizes, prioritizes and executes the completion of numerous MSC vending projects.
Support all designated team goals and objectives.
Support the inventory management needs of all stakeholders internally and externally in a timely manner.
Interacts with customers and associates in a positive and constructive manner.
In support of MSC’s Lean initiatives, evaluate, document and recommend changes in methods and procedures to maximize efficiency and promote overall team success.
Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.
Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience is required.
Minimum of 3 years of inventory management experience required
Project management experience involving multiple projects is preferred
Must be a self-starter with good time management skills required
Organizational & time management skills required
Computer literacy & proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet & presentation software required.
Good verbal and written communication skills required.
Ability to manage complexity and define problems accurately for solutioning required.
Incumbent must be able to work independently and efficiently with minimal direction
Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment across various project phases preferred
- A valid state driver’s license. Some travel required up to 10%.
